Per-institution and per-jurisdiction fragility measure. CRE exposure is the dominant amplifier in 2026 given the $1.5T maturity wall. Capital buffer sourced from Basel reporting.

Fires when a historically stable correlation pair begins diverging beyond 1.5 standard deviations. The Mahalanobis distance from the nearest historical regime cluster provides the fracture magnitude.

The tanh function bounds the output and provides natural dampening at extremes — preventing the model from generating implausibly strong signals. The LSTM coefficients are retrained every 90 days using a 24-month rolling window of resolved predictions as the training label. Current model vintage: April 2026.
